"Find what you love and let it kill you." --Charles Bukowski
"If you are tired, keep going; if you are scared, keep going; if you are hungry, keep going; if you want to taste freedom, keep going."
"Others made me a slave, but I must squeeze that slave out of myself, drop by drop." --Anton Chekhov
Until one is committed, there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back, always ineffectiveness. Concerning all acts of initiative and creation, there is one elementary truth the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: that the moment one definitely commits oneself, the providence moves too.
-W. H. Murrary, mountaineer and writer
Commitment is the difference between dreaming and living your dreams. You must have a dogged determination to stick with a goal in order for it to become a reality. That focus is what separates successful people from failures and doers from dreamers. Skill, talent, intelligence, and vision are all significant components in pursuing a dream, but without commitment none of that matters.
The lesson: Start with commitment.
